ISM offers a four-year, eight-semester undergraduate degree programme. Each semester carries a set of core and elective modules assessed through continuous assessment (40%) and a semester-end examination (60%).
Departments
- Rigzhung Department - Choekey grammar, Buddhist philosophy, Lorig, Tsema and traditional arts.
- English Department - Language, literature, academic writing and communication skills.
- General Studies - Research methodology, ICT, environment and electives.
Assessment
A student must obtain at least 40% in aggregate in every module to pass. Grades are awarded on a nine-point scale and CGPA is computed across all eight semesters.
Attendance
A minimum of 75% attendance per module is required to sit the semester-end examination.
